BAY ST. LOUIS — The Hancock County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to enter into a 90-day management agreement with Ochsner Health System in New Orleans to manage Hancock Medical Center. The Supervisors, working with the Hancock Medical Center Board of Trustees, announced the termination of its management contract with Quorum Health Resources (QHR) effective Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013.

J. Larry Ladner, president of the Board of Trustees, informed Hancock Medical employees of the move saying that the Ochsner team brings great energy and is committed to the important task of managing Hancock Medical.

“They are eager to work with us and to continue the great level of care that we provide to our patients every day,” said Ladner. “We are excited to be associated with such a world-class health care organization.”
